Returns & Refund Policy – CK Studio’s

Effective Date: 29 April 2026

At CK Studio’s, we take pride in producing quality products and custom-made items. Because many of our products are personalized and made to order, this Returns & Refund Policy explains when returns, replacements, and refunds may apply.

By placing an order with CK Studio’s, you agree to this policy.


1. Custom-Made & Personalized Products

Most CK Studio’s products are custom-made or personalized specifically for each customer.

For this reason, custom or personalized items are generally not eligible for return, refund, or exchange once production has started or the order has been completed, except where:

  • the item is defective.

  • the item was damaged in transit.

  • the wrong item was supplied.

  • required by applicable consumer law.

Examples of custom products include:

  • personalized name items

  • custom colors or layouts

  • made-to-order designs

  • customer-submitted artwork or data products


2. Order Accuracy

Customers are responsible for ensuring all submitted information is correct before checkout, including:

  • spelling of names

  • dates

  • addresses

  • colors selected

  • uploaded files

  • custom instructions

CK Studio’s is not responsible for errors resulting from incorrect information supplied by the customer.

Orders produced according to customer-approved details are not considered defective.


3. Production Cancellations

Before Production Begins

If production has not started, cancellation requests may be accepted at our discretion.

After Production Begins

Once materials have been prepared or production has started, cancellations may be refused or subject to deductions for:

  • design time

  • labor

  • material costs

  • payment processing fees

  • administrative costs


4. Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, you must notify CK Studio’s within 48 hours of delivery.

Please provide:

  • your order number

  • clear photographs of the issue

  • description of the problem

Once reviewed, we may offer one of the following remedies where appropriate:

  • replacement item

  • repair

  • partial refund

  • full refund

The remedy offered will depend on the nature of the issue and applicable law.


5. Standard Non-Custom Products

Where a non-custom, non-personalized item is sold, returns may be accepted if:

  • returned within 7 days of delivery.

  • unused and in original condition.

  • original packaging included.

Return shipping costs may be for the customer unless the return is due to our error or a defective item.


6. Shipping Costs

Shipping fees are generally non-refundable once an order has been dispatched, unless:

  • the wrong item was sent.

  • the item is confirmed defective.

  • required by law.


7. Minor Variations

The following are not considered defects:

  • slight color differences between screens and physical product

  • minor alignment tolerances

  • natural material grain/texture differences

  • small finish variations associated with handmade or custom production


8. Refused Deliveries / Incorrect Addresses

If a parcel is returned due to:

  • incorrect delivery address supplied by customer

  • failure to collect from locker point

  • failure to accept delivery

Additional shipping charges may apply before re-delivery.

Refunds may be reduced by courier and handling costs.


9. Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed using the original payment method where possible.

Please allow reasonable banking or payment provider processing times after approval.


10. Consumer Rights

Nothing in this policy limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws of South Africa, including the Consumer Protection Act where applicable.
